You should make it your secret mission to educate your brothers before you leave so they have a reasonable grasp on things and dont rush to baptism just to please others (or at all preferably).

Should I just tell my parents
by BlackWolf inlately i've been feeling just so fed up with this stupid religion i really can't take it anymore!
i'm starting to think that maybe i should just tell my parents how i really feel.
if they treat me too badly or kick me out i could probably stay with my non jw aunt.. ive just reached my breaking point, i don't really care what people think of me anymore.

I've been found out!
by pale.emperor inwell, thats it folks.. my identity on here has been rumbled and reported to the elders.
someone, somehow, has figured out that im a member of this site and - rather than speak to me - has promptly reported me to the elders.
i just feel sad for my daughter.

I take it your SIL is no longer welcome in your house? She'd never cross the threshold again until she begged for forgiveness for what she has done if this was me.

Go live with your aunt, but only if she wants you there. Your parents sound pretty toxic.
It would probably cause issues with her sibling (your mum or dad) but if she is a non believer and knows the shot they are dealing out she may well want to take you for a year or so.

Why Are You Here?
by Believer ini'm wondering why believers remain members of this forum which is clearly hostile to believers.
as one member said, nonbelievers pounce on any semblance of belief like piranhas on prey.
as former jws we should have had our fill of judgmental know-it-alls, but here we are.

I was referring to the feel of the forum this past week, not just this specific posters contributions.
You are jumping to stupid conclusions without any hard evidence.
There's some real irony right there me thinks. I wont dignify the rest of your gibberish.

My son is not sure about what he has been taught about the common ancestor
by KateWild inthis week my son expressed he is agnostic as he is not sure what to believe about evolution and the common ancestor.. i thought any jw hang ups were gone.
i told him that what they teach in school is trustworthy and he can be rest assured that there is evidence to support that the common ancestor was the real link to the evolution of humans.. he has got critical thinking skills.
and responded with "for hundreds of years schools have been teaching things and have changed their thoughts".

I'm not sure if this is spillover from JWR or just coincidence but the religious nuttery factor on this forum has gone up markedly this past week. It feels like a cult recruitment drive by the usual suspects has aligned with the return of Larsinger58 and all his alter egos at the same time.

Availability Crisis of Conscience.
by Ben131895 inmost of us are desperately waiting for the availability of a legal crisis of conscience.
deborah dykstra provided us with two updates.
on december 12, 2015 there was a clear statement about the copyright which stopped all illegal activity in spreading electronic versions & prints.. finally, she promised a new update by or before may 6.. so far no new update.

I'm of the opinion this was one of Cynthia Franz dumbest moves. She transferred the copyright to the person she knew the best who also happened to be the worst possible choice for the task involved. Very sad.

slimboyfat joins the Mormons!
by slimboyfat ini know that some people on the board have experience of being mormons, so i would be interested in your feedback.
at church this afternoon it was an uncanny experience.
in the past i've read a lot about mormons, so i thought i was prepared in general for what it would be like.

It seems to me like you've been on here 12 years and learned almost nothing in that time.
